Summary of Barbaroslar Episode 01
Suleiman the Magnificent orders Barbaros Hayreddin to support the conquest of Rome. He tells the Franks to put spies on them. Before this duty, he wants her to become a deputy in Algeria and to settle in Payitah with his family.
Kemankeş Pasha, the Captain of the Ottoman Navy, receives the news that the Sultan met with Hayreddin. Kemankeş has doubts about this match. Why did the sultan want to meet with Barbaros Hayreddin? King Charles V and King Francis are also vying to become the head of Rome. The Pope says that whoever catches Barbaros Hayreddin will become Holy Roman Emperor.
Andrea Doria is the only person who can defeat Barbaros Hayreddin. They both want to recruit Admiral Andrea Doria to their service, for which they need to find money. But it’s not so easy. Barbaros Hayreddin immediately takes steps to set up a spy agency. Unbeknownst to each other, both King Carlos and Hayreddin will seek Mia de Luna’s help for different purposes.
